ON THE EDGE OF TIME: NEW MOONS AND LIFE CYCLES
Friday, October 18, 2019 — 7:30pm
The Athenaeum Music & Arts Library
1008 Wall St, La Jolla, CA

San Diego New Music presents a program curated by percussionist Fiona Digney
with Alex Greenbaum, cello

In this, the season opener for San Diego New Music 2019-20 season, percussionist Fiona Digney guides us on an exploration of the edges of time, where beginnings and endings meet, and cycles are created. From Peter Garland’s meditative Moon Viewing Music to Golijov’s end-of-life lament Mariel, we are encouraged to re-imagine the edges of sound, time, life, and consciousness.

This concert is underwritten by Julia Falk, Ph.D.
